Torres Urges High School Students in 35th Congressional District to Apply for Service Academies
Pomona, CA- Today, Congresswoman Norma J. Torres reminded interested high school students in the 35th Congressional District to submit applications for nomination to the Military Service Academies. Each Congressional office can nominate constituents for admission to the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (nomination is not required for admission to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy).
"I urge interested students to apply for nomination to the military service academies," said Congresswoman Torres. "The academies are a great educational opportunity as well as a great way to serve our nation. My office is ready to answer any questions, help you understand the nomination and application process, and help you get started!"

Each year, Congresswoman Torres submits nominations to the military service academies in support of outstanding students from Pomona, Ontario, Montclair, Fontana, Chino, and Rialto. The 2022 deadline for submission is November 14th.
