Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Norma J. Torres (CA-35) issued the below statement following President Joe Biden's decision to fire Architect of the Capitol Brett Blanton:

"Protecting the Capitol, members of Congress, staff, and democracy are not partisan issues. President Biden made the right decision to terminate Architect of the Capitol Brett Blanton for abusing his office."
