Congresswoman Torres Highlights Ontario-Based Business That Received $10.8 Million Navy Contract
Washington, D.C. – Last month, the U.S. Department of Defense announced that HCI Systems Inc., based in Ontario, California, was awarded a construction contract from the U.S. Navy. The total award was $10,865,000, and the contract will provide for the upgrade of fire alarm and mass notification systems at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. In response to the news, Congresswoman Norma J. Torres (CA-35) issued the following statement:
"This contract represents an investment in our communities here in Southern California by providing good-paying jobs and keeping this vital Navy medical facility safe and up to date. The City of Ontario and the rest of the Inland Empire are both fortunate to have HCI Systems Inc. located here, and my office and I look forward to working with them to build a stronger economy for all Californians."
