Congresswoman Torres Announces Fire Chief of Chino Valley Fire District As Guest for the Joint Address

Washington D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Norma J. Torres announced Dave Williams, the Fire Chief of Chino Valley Fire District, as her guest for the Joint Address. This invitation highlights the critical role local firefighters and first responders play in safeguarding communities, especially in the wake of the devastating 2025 California wildfires.

“I am incredibly grateful to have Fire Chief Williams join me for the Joint Address,” said Congresswoman Torres. “His leadership in the Chino Valley Fire District and dedication to public safety have been vital to our community. This is a moment to emphasize the importance of continuing federal investments in fire resources and recovery efforts, particularly after the widespread destruction of the 2025 fires in our region. Our state needs federal support without any strings attached to support both preparedness and recovery for all affected communities- just as we have done for other states and communities around this nation.”

"The fire services in Southern California are extremely appreciative of all the support we have received from our federal partners. We are deeply committed to serving our communities,” said Dave Williams, Fire Chief of Chino Valley Fire District. “We look forward to working with Congresswoman Torres to achieve these efforts."

As a Member of the powerful Appropriations Committee, Congresswoman Torres will continue to push for critical fire-related resources and advocate for the federal support necessary to help communities in Southern California to recover and remain resilient.
