Statement in Support of Israel
As a steadfast ally of the United States and a true democracy in the Middle East, Israel has the right to defend itself and its people against terrorism and violence. I stand in unwavering support of Israel’s security and its right to exist in peace. The government of Iran, and its nuclear program, are a dire threat to Israel's very existence- and I support Israel's pre-emptive actions to prevent them from achieving a nuclear weapon.The United States has a moral and strategic obligation to support our ally, and I will continue working with my colleagues in Congress to ensure Israel has the resources it needs to protect its citizens.
