In 1970, a little girl was sent from Guatemala to the U.S. to live with her uncle. That little girl was me. The Trump administration's cruel policies would’ve separated me from my uncle and thrown me into a freezing cold jail cell like so many of the children in the Texas immigration detention facilities I talked to The Beat With Ari Melber about the inhumane conditions I experienced during my later trip to the border.
