Since the first day of his presidential campaign, President Trump has incited hatred against immigrants. Words mean things, and this weekend, 22 precious lives were taken in El Paso by a white nationalist terrorist. Hours later, we learned of more gun violence and tragedy in Dayton, Ohio. We cannot combat this evil with inaction from the Senate GOP. It shouldn’t be this easy for weapons of war to fall into the hands of those who want to terrorize our communities.
