Youth Advisory Committee
The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is envisioned to provide high school students with a unique opportunity to acquire leadership skills in a professional environment. The program will focus on aiding students to learn about the industries that are imperative to our local economy with an education-based experience to inspire our future leaders.
Composed of six (6) monthly informative sessions and six (6) tours, the program exposes students to the major industries within the 35th Congressional District. Students will learn about transportation challenges, trade, education, law enforcement, health care, government and the legislative process. The program will begin in January and conclude in June. Sessions will be held on the third Tuesday and tours on the third Thursday of every month from 4:30-6:30pm.
