Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Workshops

My office is proud to collaborate with the Cal Poly Pomona College of Business Administration to offer VITA Workshops for the 2019 Tax Season at the Pomona Public Library.

 

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program provides free tax assistance to those with an income of $56,000 or less, those with disabilities, or those with limited English language skills. VITA Workshops provide one-on-one assistance with an IRS-certified volunteer, who will offer free basic income tax return preparation. Take advantage of this free service at the following location and dates/times:

Dates:

February 1, 15, 22 & 29

March 7, 21 & 28

April 4 & 11

 

Time:

12:30pm – 4:30pm

 

Items Needed:

Driver’s License

SSN Card of Dependents, Spouse, and Self

Forms W-2, 1099, etc.

Direct Deposit Information

 

Requirements:

Gross Income of $55,000 or less

Joint Filings: Both spouses must be present

Exclusions: Married Filing Separate, Schedule C & D

 

In addition to the VITA Workshop, my office will be hosting a concurrent Tax Returns with the Tax Pros event featuring the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Pomona Library.
